LeCun’s AMI Labs Raises $1.03 Billion to Build World Models
AI startup AMI Labs, cofounded by ACM A. M. Turing Award laureate Yann LeCun, has raised $1.03 billion at a $3.5-billion valuation to develop “world models,” a type of AI designed to learn from real-world data rather than only language. The company aims to build systems that better understand physical reality, potentially improving fields such as healthcare, where AI errors can have serious consequences.
